Why equilibrium?

Equilibrium is, in a simple statement, a state of being balanced.

It can be more complicated than this if you apply it to science and other fancy things- but for me, the simple kind works.

I'm studying psychology, and this word comes up frequently. It stuck with me. Not in the psychological sense, but in a life sense.

Life is complicated.

Fun, wonderful, crazy, fulfilling and awesome too.

But complicated. And anxiety provoking, and depressing, and scary, and a whole dictionary full of unpleasant words.

What makes up our lives, each of ours, is a crazy mix of all the words we can think of. Not only are our combinations of words entirely different, our meanings that we give the words are different too.

When I think of wellness, I think of equilibrium. Of balance. And my balance, and your balance can be worlds apart.

The internet is filled with inspirational wellness gurus, kudos to them all.

I don't want to give you a recipe that I think will get you to your wellness, I want you to get to know yourself so deeply that you will know what wellness should be to you, even if it is the opposite of what the wellness world says.

You are free to know yourself deeply, and you are free to change that, and you are free to find your own unique equilibrium.

This is your life.

So, when I post something about my smoothie, or my skin, or my exercise, don't say and do what Gente does.

Look at what I do critically from your world, and say "I think it's great that that's what works for Gente, but I think I'll do it this way instead, this feels right to ME ".
